Got a Greenhouse? 4 Ways to Keep It Organized and Clean

A greenhouse is a great place to grow things where you can have some control over the temperature, light, and humidity. Then again, you also have to manage your limited space to the best of your ability. Knowing some ways to keep it organized and clean helps everything out.

Got a Greenhouse

Sketch a Layout

Measure your greenhouse and then sketch a layout of it. Do this using pen and paper, or use software or an app. Coming up with a formal design for the layout helps you see it for what it could be instead of what it currently is, and then you can start making incremental changes that improve the organization and efficiency within your greenhouse space. You’ll be able to grow more plants and put things away faster. Shelves, stacking, and using vertical space available are all ways to get more out of your greenhouse without actually building a bigger one.

Schedule Cleaning

You probably are pretty disciplined about keeping to your plants’ needs in terms of nutrition, light, and watering. Do the same for cleaning the greenhouse. Leaves, petals, and even entire plants might die and fall to the ground or floor. Clean this up as soon as it happens, and filter the air the best you can to keep it fresh in there. Remember, plants breathe just as much as you do.

Save Space With Supplies

Saving space with your supplies is crucial to keeping things organized since you can keep everything compact. It’s even better when you can do it with your actual cleaning supplies. A 1 gal liquid cleaner concentrate 4 pack doesn’t take much room but can last a long time since you’ll dilute the cleaner every time that you use it.

Leave Everyone Room

No matter how much you want to grow as many things as you can in your greenhouse, don’t overpack it. You need physical room to move around and operate in there, and your plants will need room to grow, too. Have some idea how big they can get so there is enough space for them to grow without crowding each other out.

When your greenhouse is clean and organized, you know where everything is so you can keep your plants healthy. You’ll also have the peace of mind of growing things in a pristine environment that will impact how well they wind up growing.
